Monica Allen

Monica began her martial arts journey at the age of 15 with Taekwondo. Through the years, she has studied and coached Capoeira, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She was introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2010 by Robby Rabadi in Austin, TX and recently earned her brown belt at Fulcrum Jiu Jitsu Academy, under Evan Barrett, after finishing 2nd at the 2021 IBJJF Master World Championship. Monica is an audiologist and elementary special education teacher. She loves working with kids. Outside the gym, she has four kids of her own, spends a lot of time with her second family in Haiti and loves to be outside hiking and exploring beautiful Colorado. Monica runs the behind-the-scenes happenings at Fulcrum.
